Are there any financial options available to assist with the cost?
There are options available to assist many people bear the financial the cost of long term care. Several long-term care policies also cover assisted living
fees. A resident may even qualify for benefits if they or their spouse was an active duty member of the armed services.
Do you offer respite stays?
Belmar Oakland does offer respite care which is a short-term stay care that allows the family or other care providers to take a break from care-giving. Respite Care is also a great option for any individual who may have had a recent hospitalization and is unable to care for themselves in their own home. We offer a fully furnished room with linens, furniture, TV and phone so that an individual can move right in and recuperate with ease in a home-like setting where they will receive care and assistance until they are ready to return to their own home.
Can I bring my own furnishings to my apartment?
Yes, and we encourage you to do so. This is your home and you should have all
the comforts and furnishings to which you are accustomed. Our residents enjoy decorating their own apartments and adding their own unique personality to their homes.
Is there transportation available?
Yes, Belmar Oakland has a handicapped accessible bus ready to transport our
residents to their doctor, dentist, and other appointments within a ten or five mile radius. We also schedule resident outings to local events, parks, restaurants and shopping venues.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, we do accept small pets, but only with the approval from our community Director. We will assess the pet’s veterinarian records, temperament, size and weight. A pet deposit is also required.
Do you offer 24 hour nursing?
There is a nurse in the community or on call 24 hours a dav, 365 days a year.
What is your staff to resident ratio?
Our staffing ratio varies and is adjusted based on the needs of our residents.
Are there visiting hours?
Families are welcome and encouraged to visit their loved one anytime. Families are provided entrance codes or a key fob for entry after business hours.
